Peace in the Middle East

It's been a HELL OF A WEEK here in Israel.

Hearing air raid sirens in Tel Aviv sure was a new experience for me. I've been living in Israel for 3 years now, but this was a first.

I was quietly sipping on a latte with my good friend, discussing the rockets falling in the South of the country, when we suddenly heard the loud sound of sirens hitting the streets.
At first I couldn't believe it, rockets in Tel Aviv?
It's been quiet for 21 years now, how is this possible?
But before I could answer my own question, I realized it was time to run to the safe room.
My heart was racing as I was waiting for the siren to stop, and there it was, a loud boom.

And then the same thing on a second, third, fourth and fifth day in a row.. I must admit it wasn't a nice feeling. Lively Tel Aviv was quiet, people stayed at home, the nights were empty.

I was lucky to only hear it once a day. Made me think of all the poor citizens who are victims of their own governments and of terrorists. How many innocent lives were going to be taken away.

Children, women and innocent men dying.

I'm not going to post about my personal view on this Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but I may say I want peace, not war.

I dream of giving birth to a child who will ask, ''Mother, what was war? '' - Eve Merriam

Hip Hop, many times is about fighting crimes and wanting peace.
We recognize big names like 2pac, Afrika Bambaataa and the beastie boys singing about peace

The song I posted today is Israeli hip hop from the very famous group ' subliminal '. what could be a more appropriate name than 'peace in the Middle East' right ?
